JMS INFANT CARE
My goal as your Newborn Care Specialist or PostPartum Doula is to guide you and alleviate your concerns as we get to know your child and help them navigate these early developmental milestones. Every family and child is unique, and I hope to help you build confidence and comfort in these early months as we work towards the goals we set together. Whether you're a first time parent looking for someone to show you the ropes, or perhaps you're a seasoned parent who knows how difficult this stage can be based off your past experience and you're just looking for a full nights sleep. I am here for you.
Services Offered
Overnight Newborn Care
As your NCS I will;
- Provide undivided attention/care given to the awake newborn while parents sleep.
- Follow AAP recommended safe sleep guidelines at all times.
- Keep watch nearby, or on audio video monitor while baby sleeps.
- Plan and manage overnight feed times.
- Implement strategic sleep conditioning and training methods (when appropriate).
- Offer basic circumcision and cord awareness and care when diapering.
- Handle bottle prep and overnight bottle feeds or bring baby to parent to feed.
- Handle overnight soothing, diapering, burping, and tending to baby and baby’s needs.
- Wash bottles and pump parts, and fold baby laundry - as needed.
- Prepare verbal and/or written guidance for parents and caregivers to properly care for baby.
- Be available for discussions and answers to updates and questions at the start and end of every shift.
Singleton rates starting at $50/hr
Twin rates starting at $60/hr
Baby Care 101 Crash Course
Learn all the basic baby care you need to know after the arrival of your baby. I will come to you and work within the comforts of your home. You will practice diapering, dressing and swaddling your baby. Other topics covered will include:
- Circumcision care
- Cord care
- Best positions for feedings
- How to prepare bottles
- Best positions for burping
- Different positions for holding
- How to soothe your crying baby
- Swaddling techniques
- How to read your baby’s sleepy signs
- How to lengthen your baby’s night sleep
- Bathing
- Taking baby’s temperature
- Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)
Package pricing $600 for up to a 4 hour visit.
Additional time available, please inquire.
Baby Gear : Registries, Set-up, Shopping
- 1 A total of 2 hours of phone/virtual support for creating and reviewing your gift registry, assistance with selecting remaining items, and accounting for any existing gear you own. Package $175
- 2 Up to 4 hours of consulting, I can assist with gift organization, baby gear setup and organization, put away baby laundry and do an inventory of items still needed. Package $295
- 3 Up to 6 hours of consulting, I will do everything listed above, plus spend more time organizing baby gear, washing/putting away baby laundry and going over product demonstrations with you. Package $425
- 4 Up to 8 hours of consulting, I can do everything listed above, and even more! This could be: additional organizing, managing returns and exchanges or building baby gear. Package $550
